01 / The occasions

The evenings the chamber counts in years

The chamber publishes its own diary and takes registrations on its own site. Individual events are not copied here: a stale duplicate of somebody else’s calendar helps nobody.

  1. 1976

    The Maple Leaf Ball. The first Canadian Maple Leaf Ball was held in 1976. It returned to the Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Chinzan-so in 2004 after a nine year absence, and in 2005 the chamber brought a band in from Canada for it for the first time. The 2026 edition is the Maple Leaf Gala, KIZUNA.

  2. 2001

    The CCCJ Cup Golf Tournament. First held in 2001. The 2026 Annual Golf Scramble drew 116 golfers, with Canada’s Ambassador to Japan among them.

  3. 2001

    The Canada-Japan Business Awards. First held in 2001.

The Annual General Meeting
Held in June, where presidential terms begin, and in 2026 held at the Embassy of Canada to Japan alongside Canada Day.
Joint chamber evenings
The chamber runs and joins events with the other foreign chambers in Japan, including the Annual Joint Chamber Bonenkai and the Summer Cocktail, which in 2026 brought 18 chambers and more than 300 people to one rooftop.
